What you cannot test with RealEye
There are some limitations in using RealEye.
RealEye is an eye-tracking platform meant for PC and laptop users. For now it doesn’t work on mobile devices due to screen size. Mobile devices are smaller, so are their screens. This causes, for our algorithm, an inability of precise finding differences in the appearance of the eyes, thus the inability of eye-tracking. But RealEye is aware of the need, so please contact us for more info.
RealEye platform works best on Chrome, but it isn't compatible with Safari or Opera. It also won't work on the old version of Edge browser, it only works on the latest Edge version based on Chromium.
It’s also important to remember, that there is a drop-rate (number of participants that failed to successfully take part in the study) and an offset (number of tests that are low quality). RealEye is aware of this fact and always orders more testers, so the data it provides to you is without these issues. However, you have to remember that when you use your own testers you need to take it into account.
